What this covers
This policy explains what we collect when you use Repolish ("the Service"), how we use it, how long we keep it, and who we share it with. Repolish processes resumes, which often contain personal data — we treat that data carefully and keep it to what the Service needs.
Data we collect
- Account data: your email address and authentication details, managed by our auth provider (Clerk).
- Resume content: the PDF or DOCX file you upload, the text we extract from it, the rewritten or tailored versions we generate, and the DOCX documents we produce for download.
- Job postings: any job description you paste when tailoring a resume to a specific role.
- Billing data: your subscription status and a customer identifier from our payments provider (Lemon Squeezy). We do not store your card number or payment details.
- Usage metadata: counts of generations, timestamps, and aggregate token/cost figures used to enforce plan limits and monitor the Service.
How we use your data
We use your data only to provide the Service: extracting text from your upload, rewriting and tailoring it with AI, generating downloadable documents, enforcing plan limits, and supporting your account. We do not sell your personal data and do not use your resume content for advertising or to train AI models.
AI processing — Anthropic (subprocessor)
To rewrite and tailor resumes, we send the extracted text of your resume (and, for tailoring, the job description you provide) to Anthropic, our AI subprocessor, which runs the Claude model that produces the rewritten content. We do not send your email address, billing data, or account identifiers to Anthropic beyond what may appear in the resume text itself. Your inputs are used only to return a result and are not used by Anthropic to train their models under our data processing agreement.
File storage — Supabase
Generated DOCX files are stored in a private bucket on Supabase Storage. Files are served through signed URLs that expire automatically. Access is restricted to your account.
Other subprocessors
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Supabase — database and file storage.
- Anthropic — AI rewriting and tailoring (see above).
- Lemon Squeezy — subscription billing and payments.
Data retention
- Generated documents are kept in your account until you delete them or close your account.
- Uploaded source files are processed in memory to extract text and are not stored beyond what is needed to generate your result.
- Account data is retained for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your stored resumes, generated files, and associated records are permanently removed.
- Aggregate usage figures (non-identifying) may be retained for accounting and abuse prevention.
Your rights
You can delete individual documents at any time from your dashboard. You can request deletion of your entire account and all associated data by emailing us at the address below — we will process your request within 30 days. You also have the right to request access to or correction of your personal data.
Security
Files are stored in a private bucket and served through expiring signed links. Database access is protected by row-level security. Access to your data is restricted to your account.
